JUÁ

Juá is a dynamic independent music artist, writer, model, mentor, and cultural leader whose work bridges artistry, healing, and activism. Raised in a Caribbean household in Florida, she discovered music as both refuge and revelation—singing herself to sleep as a child and igniting her creative fire at age eight upon first hearing Erik B. & Rakim.

Her relationship with music deepened profoundly after losing her best friend, Justin, to gun violence at just 14 years old. From that moment, music became more than expression—it became survival, grounding, and transformation. Her debut single, Keep Moving, stands as both a heartfelt tribute to Justin and an enduring anthem of resilience. Her most recent release, Catch Me If You Can, further showcases her thriving spirit and creative range as a survivor and storyteller.

A self-taught musician with a voice often compared to legends like Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Etta James, Juá blends timeless soul and jazz influence with the grit of hip hop and the heart of R&B. Whether strumming her acoustic guitar or performing acapella, her sound carries an ethereal and healing quality—powerful, timeless, and unforgettable.

An alumna of The Residency, Seattle’s premier hip-hop youth development program, Juá has grown her craft within the city’s vibrant music scene, including performances at Benaroya Hall, Chop Suey & LUMEN Field. She has opened for Charlotte Day Wilson, HOLLIS, and Macklemore. Represented by Heffner Management, Juá continues to blossom in modeling as she works with Nike, Pokemon, and Microsoft. Through collaborations with platforms like GZ Radio she continues to evolve her artistry while mentoring the next generation of musicians, grounding her work in authenticity, love, and transformation.

Beyond music, Juá is a model, mentor, and community leader. She is the Co-Collaborator of the RISE UP AGAINST Domestic Violence March, the RISE UP Cultural Movement, and RISE IN RESONANCE—initiatives dedicated to healing, justice, and empowerment through art and advocacy. The Co-Founder of For The Girls, Brihana has set out to intentionally build protective creative spaces that elevate music, art, and community in the Pacific Northwest. Her voice, both on and off stage, reflects a journey through survival, resilience, and rebirth, making her a beacon of light for those navigating their own paths of healing.

At her core, Juá is more than a performer—she is a healer, a cultural leader, and a fearless creative. Her artistry is not only a personal offering but also a movement: a testament to the power of music to transform pain into purpose, and purpose into community.
